Waterpark Simulator Staff Composition Planner
Hire the coverage your layout actually needs—not a full resort on day two.
How to use this staff planner
Staff planner
Estimate a crew for your current park stage. Adjust counts, then copy a summary.
Suggested focus: Prioritize cashiers + your own mop loop before hiring luxury roles.
The interactive planner on this page is a composition board: pick park stage, mark which roles you already employ, and see which badge should eat the next payroll slot. Until you trust muscle memory, read the role lists below as the same advice the tool encodes. Pair process details with the Hiring Guide and triage order with Role Priority.
Waterpark Simulator after 1.0 (July 31, 2026) adds security and mascots beside classic cleaners, vendors, lifeguards, and repair. Online co-op for 2–4 players can delay hiring for a session, but AI coverage still wins when friends log off mid-Beach expansion.
Role cards the planner should track
Ticket Agent — Protects research drip and morning throughput once you personally clear the opening spike. Hire after Getting Started gate habits are solid, not as a substitute for learning age categories and slide passes.
Hot Dog / Lemonade vendors — Convert attraction traffic into cash and food quests. Add when counters go empty whenever you leave to mop.
Cleaners — The floor of every diamond plan. Trash, bathrooms, decks, and pool mess destroy stars faster than missing décor. Every Beach walk adds value to this role.
Lifeguards — Mandatory where Custom Slides and diving boards dump bodies. Prestige water without eyes is a rating grenade.
Repair staff — Keep thrills online so fun scores do not crater while you build Pirate masts.
Restockers — Matter when food and supply walks steal whole afternoons from objective work.
Security (1.0) — Removes unruly guests when boxing-glove escort duty outgrows your attention budget.
Mascots (1.0) — Hype and fun energy after clean, safe, and fed are already true. Early mascots on a dirty park waste wages.
Recommended hire ladders
Solo early park
- Player-run tickets, mop, and food through the first stable loop
- Ticket Agent after you survive a few opening rushes yourself
- First cleaner when mess steals build sessions
- Hot dog vendor when the stand sits near the gate and still goes empty
- Lemonade or second food help when queues stack at peak
- Lifeguard when slide landings stay populated without you
- Repair before a second prestige tower multiplies breakdowns
Mid-game Beach expansion
- Duplicate cleaners per district instead of one marathon walker
- Lifeguard per busy splashdown cluster
- Repair coverage that can reach custom slide scaffolds
- Security when crowd density creates fights in themed courtyards
- Restocker if supply runs become your whole job
- Mascot only after Star Checklist cleanliness and safety rows are green
Diamond / night overtime park
- Confirm daytime roster can idle without you before enabling night
- Budget overtime wages for every active badge
- Keep security and lifeguards on lit routes (Night Mode and Weather)
- Add mascot parade space that does not block queues
- Prefer second cleaner over third mascot when diamond quests stall on dirt
Co-op (2–4 players)
- Humans may cover gate, mop, and food for one session
- Hire before friends leave so the save remains playable solo
- Ops lead owns this planner; builders do not veto payroll for vanity props
- Split districts: one human “mayor” per Beach zone plus AI under each
- Rebalance after Multiplayer Co-op role experiments
Composition targets by pressure
Use these as planner defaults, then adjust:
- Dirty decks / bathroom complaints → cleaner first, bins and routes second (Cleaning Loop)
- Drowning or landing chaos → lifeguard and pool geometry (Pool Layout)
- Broken slides / offline thrills → repair before another Prestige Builds landmark
- Empty counters / food quests fail → vendor or restocker, then stock discipline
- Queue fights / troublemakers → security, then path width
- Atmosphere / fun spike goals → mascot after the five lines above are calm
- Research starvation → keep some manual chores even with staff (Research Points)
Pathing rules the planner cannot fix alone
Hiring fails when workers path through nonsense. After every Ocean, Aztec, or Pirate prop binge, walk cleaner loops, lifeguard sightlines, repair scaffold access, and security escort routes away from shallow family water. Station staff on the rings you designed—not inside decorative hulls. If a new hire “does nothing,” assume geometry before you assume the role is weak; the Staff Roles Tier List still assumes reachable work.
Cash buffer checklist before each hire
- Several days of wages reserved
- Food stock and trash bags funded
- One repair emergency reserved
- Next research unlock planned so the hire matches an unlocked tier (Research Planner)
- Star objectives checked so you are not hiring past a prestige gate you still need to build for
Session workflow
- Mark current roster on the planner
- Identify the failing score: dirt, rescue, downtime, food, chaos, or vibe
- Hire the matching role from the ladders above
- Reassign pathing immediately
- Re-run Star Checklist before celebrating
- Return to creative work on Custom Slides only when coverage is boring
Official chatter about balance patches often lands on Discord first—keep the Official Links Hub handy—but do not wait for a patch to hire a cleaner your Beach map already needs. Browse the Tools Hub when you need the star or research boards that feed this planner.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best first AI hire?
After you learn the morning gate, a Ticket Agent or cleaner is usually first—pick the interruption that steals more of your day.
When should I hire security or mascots?
Security when unruly guests outgrow manual ejections; mascots after cleanliness, safety, and food coverage are already stable.
Can co-op replace the planner?
Friends can cover shifts briefly in 2–4 player lobbies, but you should still plan AI roles before people leave the session.
Why does my new staff member idle?
Check assignment and pathing. Props, themed walls, and distant stations strand workers even when headcount looks fine.
How does night mode change staffing?
Overtime multiplies wage cost and hides problems in dark alleys. Light routes and confirm daytime coverage before extending hours.
Where do I compare long-term role value?
Use the Staff Roles Tier List for grades and Role Priority when two hires compete for one cash pile.
